Founded by Zuleika De La Cruz, Nova Vida Picnic was created with one goal: to make people feel special through intentional experiences. “Nova Vida” combines Latin and Spanish roots to mean "New Life" — and each setup is a chance to embrace that, whether you're honoring a milestone or simply enjoying the present.

Meet Zuleika

I'm the founder, creative stylist, and heart behind Nova Vida Picnic. I started this business to give others what I craved — beautiful moments that feel just as good as they look.

Nova Vida Picnic began with a blanket, some pillows, and a quiet moment in the park.

A year ago, I was going through a difficult time. I needed space to breathe and reconnect, so I went to the park with a few comforting things — art supplies, soft pillows, and a blanket. As I sat there painting, surrounded by nature, I felt peace. And I thought to myself, “I wish more people could experience this feeling.”

That moment planted a seed.

I started imagining ways people could enjoy the outdoors without the bugs, discomfort, or pressure of planning — and the idea of creating cozy, beautiful dome picnics began to take shape. I had experience planning large events in my previous job (some for over 500 people!), so I knew I could bring that same magic to something more personal and intentional.

A year later, I left my job — the one that was comfortable but no longer fulfilling — and I chose to start over. I called my new path Nova Vida, which combines Latin and Spanish roots to mean New Life, because that’s exactly what it was for me.

This business came to me like a gift from above — a mix of creativity, healing, and faith. I truly believe it was placed in my heart by God.

Beyond picnics, I'm proud to be part of something bigger. I’ve partnered with my community by volunteering at Grandmother's Garden, helping care for and preserve its beauty. When you book a picnic in a park location, we include a $25 park support fee, which is donated directly to the park to help maintain its charm and provide a peaceful escape for others — especially those going through difficult times.

Nova Vida was a new beginning for me — and now, I use this business to bring new life, joy, and experiences to others. I encourage everyone to do the same in their own way.
